about

I found part of this song on a demo tape I made of unfinished songs. It’s got a Simon and Garfunkel 6/8 thing that I dug and decided to finish it. Who knew at the time it would be the anchor for my second record?

The title has that double entendre thing – the singer of this record – a hyper-real version of me in some far off metaverse – is looking for what went right and what went wrong with his romantic endeavors – when a smoke enduced Pan with a penchant for pop culture comes along and says I’ll be your huckleberry.

lyrics

Wesley held the burden of truth and its heart was a lion
If you want I will take you back
Jenny said it all on the roof and she knew it was time
If you want I will take you back

I can find the dreams that you've been missing
Close your eyes and hear a world that's listening

Welsey got married and Wesley got stoned
Welsey sold everything that Jenny once owned
If you want I will take you back

You have tried to live the life you used too
Step outside see what that life has changed to

Kings of the jungle and queens of the sea
they roll and they tumble till that bubble burst free
and if you want I will take you back
